    Eliminating the country quota from the most sought-after Green Cards will end the current discrimination in the US labour market, but would allow countries like India and China to dominate the path to American citizenship, according to the latest Congressional report.     Canada Ranked First For Quality Of Life In 2018 Best Countries Survey

    Annual survey by U.S. News & World Report ranks Canada second overall behind Switzerland. A new international survey is ranking Canada the second best country in the world to live in, and the first in terms of quality of life. Conducted by the U.S. News & World Report, the poll ranked 80 countries based on attributes in nine broad categories. More than 21,000 people from around the world completed the survey.     Nova Scotia draws auditors and accountants from Express Entry pool. The Government of Nova Scotia has issued new invitations to apply for a nomination for permanent residence to Express Entry candidates with work experience as financial auditors or accountants.   The invitations were issued January 24 through the province’s Labour Market Priorities Stream, which was launched last year. The Labour Market Priorities Stream allows Nova Scotia’s Office of Immigration to search the federal Express Entry pool for eligible candidates with work experience in specified occupations.     Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree to offer 30-day visa-free travel for tourists from 45 more countries. The decree, which will come into effect on Feb. 1, is part of the measures taken by the government to boost tourism. The government’s aim is to attract more than 9 million foreign tourists in 2025 and increase the share of the tourism industry in the GDP from 2.3 percent in 2017 to 5 percent in 2025.     New Invitations Issued By Saskatchewan to Express Entry, In-Demand Occupation Candidates

    Saskatchewan has issued 596 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in its first Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand draws of 2019. A total of 362 invitations went to candidates in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)’s Express Entry sub-category, which is linked to the federal Express Entry system and allows Saskatchewan to nominate eligible candidates for permanent residence.
