A total of 337 Letters of Advice to Apply for a nomination for Canadian permanent residence from Manitoba were issued to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates, of which 274 went to a group that included candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry system. Canada’s Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for three of the country’s main economic immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class. The province of Manitoba held its third Expression of Interest draw in less than three weeks on March 1, inviting 403 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. Saskatchewan has issued 596 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in its first Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand draws of 2019. A total of 362 invitations went to candidates in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)’s Express Entry sub-category, which is linked to the federal Express Entry system and allows Saskatchewan to nominate eligible candidates for permanent residence.
