    ALBERTA | CANADA IMMIGRATION | EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW Alberta invited 401 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in its last two selection rounds, the province’s immigrant nominee program has revealed.  A selection round held October 24 invited 372 candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three Federal High Skilled economic immigration categories — the  Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.     CRS Drops By Three Points In New Express Entry Draw

    Government of Canada invited 3,350 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a new draw held June 26.  The cut-off score in today’s draw was 462, which is three points lower than the previous draw held June 12. This was the second consecutive draw to see the cut-off score decrease since May 29, when it reached 470. The Express Entry system is Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers.     The recent passage of controversial immigration reforms in Quebec stand in stark contrast to news from Canada’s other provinces, which are slated to welcome an increasing number of newcomers over the next three years through the Provincial Nominee Program.     Canada had a flag April with regards to work, posting the biggest one month gain in net employments on record. Employment ascended by 107,000 in April, with striking increases in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and Prince Edward Island.
